Testimonials
Dear Brian and Karen,
Just wanted to say thank you for all of your help and advice over the past six months with Monty. We initially came to you looking for a reliable dog walker, but we have found so much more. It goes without saying that you are helpful, considerate and extremely trustworthy but it is an added bonus that you are such lovely people. We truly value your friendship.
Despite us moving house, starting new jobs and constantly changing our "puppy training routine," you have always been consistent in your exercising and training of Monty. He is turning into "a grand little dog" thanks to your help.
Best regards
Nick and Karen Bradbrook
My very first boarding experience was the best! My dog (and I) had the
brilliant stroke of luck to find Libby's Retreat the very first occasion
that she needed to be boarded. When my puppy Roxy was just 4 months old, I
needed to find boarding for her while I was traveling for 10 days and
the thought having her caged in a kennel was heartbreaking! When Brian and
Karen were recommended to me by 2 different people, I knew I was on to
something good.
Our first meeting over coffee was relaxed and fun. I could see first-hand
how much both Brian and Karen adored animals and Roxy warmed up to them
right away and was ready to play. I was very impressed by all of the
questions they asked about our routine the fact that Brian and Karen do
everything possible to keep your dog on its own routine and schedule
immediately sets Libby's Retreat head and shoulders above any kennel. They
asked where Roxy sleeps (in the kitchen), if she's crated (no), if she's
allowed on the sofa (yes), etc., and were committed to making her stay with
them feel as much like home as possible. When I was away on that first
trip, I missed Roxy but didn't worry about her at all.
While I was very happy with Roxy's care during that first boarding
experience, the truest measure of success actually came several weeks later
when I needed to board her overnight. When I pulled the car up in front of
Brian and Karen's home, Roxy started going nuts tail wagging wildly,
pawing at the window and barking excitedly. As soon as I put on her leash,
she dragged me across the lawn, up the stairs and started to scratch at the
front door. When it opened, Roxy bounded inside and bounced back and forth
between Brian and Karen. At that moment Roxy herself was telling me just
what she thought of Libby's Retreat and how happy and excited she was to be
back.
I couldn't be happier with Libby's Retreat and Roxy's care while she's with
Brian and Karen. They've been wonderfully accommodating for last-minute
requests and they take a genuine and personal interest in the dogs they
board sometimes following up visits with a lovely e-mail and photos from
the dog's stay. Libby's Retreat is truly the next best thing to home!
sincerely,
Jodi & Roxy
Dear Brian,
This is just a few words to say thank you and what a difference you have made to Emma. She looks forward to going out for her run with all her friends and she waits patiently by the door for you to pick her up. Her first vet visit after you started to take her out was a great success as she was back to her normal weight and very fit and this has been maintained. So on behalf of Emma, she wants to give you a big kiss.
Thanks
Dianne
